Partner Summary

Space 44 aims to spotlight all Sutherland Shire artists and musicians and provide them with the tools to activate exhibitions and creative projects to the public.

Their mission is to:

  1. Bring together a generation of artistic talent to showcase their gifts.
  2. Highlight the importance of arts and culture in the community.
  3. Give local artists a place to showcase their gifts.
  4. Use arts and culture as a way to express yourself in a positive way.

Starting in July 2011, Space 44 turned an old house into a gallery that has since become a hub for artistic expression within the Sutherland Shire.

Capital Bluestone worked together with us to allow young local artists to show their work and connect to a new audience. We look forward to working with Capital Bluestone on other projects that help encourage and foster arts and culture in our area.

Our partnership with Cook Community Classic

In 2014, Capital Bluestone teamed up with Space 44 to provide an art gallery at our Woolooware Bay display suite. This art gallery allowed local artists to showcase their work to the local area and emphasize the importance of arts and culture in the community.

Finding places to showcase artwork can be a challenge so Woolooware Bay provided their display suite as a space.

The gallery was open for two weeks in early September and artists had their artworks displayed on portable pop-up art walls throughout the display apartment.

The importance of arts and culture.

Arts and culture is such an important part of the local community and Capital Bluestone are proud to celebrate and give support to such a great concept.
