The Cook Community Classic is a large community event held each year in November at Cronulla Beach to raise money for numerous, small local charities.
Their mission is to:
- Support, appreciate and value local organisations to make the community strong.
- Pool resources and hold one annual event so smaller organisations can raise significant funds and awareness for their cause.
Through this event and activities held on the day, the Cook Classic provides a fundraising and awareness platform for over 50 local community groups that are making a difference to the area.
The IMB Cook Classic, through your overwhelming support, has delivered another successful year, providing funds directly to grass root community organisations. We thank you for your outstanding support and contribution. The Hon Scott Morrison MP
Our partnership with Cook Community Classic
In 2015, Capital Bluestone and Woolooware Bay were sponsors of the Cook Community Classic 1km and 2km swim at South Cronulla Beach. This event raised over $160,000 last year which was an amazing result.
Money raised from these swims and other activities went directly to the charities involved on the day. This event creates publicity and financial support to small, local charities who cannot generate enough support on their own.
The importance of helping local organisations
This was a great opportunity to help a wide range of local charities and we look forward to sponsoring this event in the future.
