The transformation of Sydney’s Norwest from a hugely successful business park into a thriving urban hub is one step closer, with the demolition and construction process to start on the park’s first resort-style development – Esplanade on Norwest Lake.

Development manager Capital Bluestone has announced demolition is planned to commence on the site on 24 October 2017, following current tenant Sydney Ice Arena’s decision to vacate the premises. Demolition on the site is expected to take three months.

Esplanade is the first integrated development of its kind in Norwest, with a diverse mix of apartments, a host of resident-only features including an outdoor cinema, three levels of boutique workspaces, waterfront dining and retail areas set on a revitalised public boardwalk.

Capital Bluestone Executive Chairman Steve Grant said Norwest’s transformation was gathering pace, heralding an exciting future for the business park, bringing new life and vitality to the area.

“Through game-changing residential developments like the resort-style Esplanade, Norwest is entering a transitional period that will shift the area’s status as solely a business park to a lifestyle destination and urban hub,” he said.

“Hundreds of people have put their faith in what we’re committed to creating at Esplanade – an all-in-one development that makes daily life more enjoyable. From exclusive amenities like the outdoor cinema, putting green, pool and spa to the casual and fine dining options on your doorstep, Esplanade is designed to enhance the way people live in The Hills by embracing the low-maintenance lifestyle that comes with apartment living.

“This announcement of demolition works on site to allow Esplanade to start to take shape is a significant step for our future residents and for the evolution of Norwest.”

Mr Grant said the Sydney Ice Arena had been a much-loved attraction in The Hills for 14 years and he encouraged locals to put on their skates and give the arena the farewell it deserved.

There is still a chance to be a part of the Esplanade community. Simply register your interest or pop in to the display suite at 11 Solent Circuit Baulkham Hills between noon and 3pm every day (or by private appointment) to see for yourself what Esplanade has on offer.
